The Dawn of Machine Learning
MLDawn began in 2020 as a
YouTube channel,
grew into a blog, and is now becoming a learning platform with courses in machine learning and AI—from the mathematics behind the ideas to coding them yourself.
Meet the founder
Dr. Mehran Bazargani earned his PhD in machine learning from University College Dublin, where his thesis,
Semi-Supervised Anomaly Detection Using One-Class RBG Networks,
explored anomaly detection. He was subsequently awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship and moved to Monash University in Melbourne.
Today, Mehran develops brain-inspired AI based on the Free Energy Principle and collaborates with researchers including
Professor Karl Friston.
He led the development of
Online Generalised Predictive Coding,
an online approach to triple estimation: inferring hidden states, learning model parameters, and estimating uncertainty as data arrive. The research is currently available as a preprint.
